The following video illustrates the non-parametric alternatives to the two-sample t-test and one-way ANOVA.

  • Menus and Steps Used:
    • Double-click on the SPSS dataset (STEP6) to open SPSS with that data loaded
    • ANALYZE – NON-PARAMETRIC TESTS – INDEPENDENT SAMPLES.
      • Set up tool as illustrated in tutorial to obtain Wilcoxon Rank-Sum test or Kruskal-Wallis test.
    • Save SPSS output by going to the output and File – Save or by closing SPSS and following the prompts
